Million Dollar Giveaway: Promo Note Pads

Trade show vendors try several different tactics to lure visitors to their booth. The Chicago based women’s fashion wholesaler, Funky Junque, found it hard to compete with other vendors dishing out gourmet treats like real crab meat. These types of treats can get pretty pricey.

So, instead they used low-cost promotion product giveaways and found them to be very effective. They gave out promotional note pads at the Children’s Club trade show at the Javits Center in New York. They chose notepads because they knew that their retailers use them all the time. But what made them interesting and enticing where the million dollar bills printed on the back. They placed what looked like a lot of money on a table in front of their booth.

I think Funky Junque came up with a very clever low cost idea. You may think a notepad is conventional but they uniquely used them to attract customers. Promotional products work especially when you are creative with them. Besides notebooks the company plans to use custom lip balm and imprinted pens. They like to change their marketing products like they like to change their fashionable clothing line.

As a result compared to shows where they did not use promotional products they found an increase in visits by new and old customers, and in total orders. Their web address printed on the back of the pads increased traffic to their site www.funky-junque.com.
